Drew Smith

Drew Smith is an award-winning photographer experienced in nature, wildlife, travel, event, location, and fine art impressionistic photography. His images have been published by the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), National Wildlife Refuge Association (NWRA), National Wildlife Federation (NWF), and the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), among others, and he recently completed assignments for National Parks and Traverse magazines.
Drew also has extensive editorial experience, having served as Executive Editor of Nature’s Best Photography magazine. Drew has deep ties to Michigan; his family has summered “Up North” for generations on Walloon Lake, near Petoskey. Drew completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment, including two summers at the UM Biological Station, near Pellston, further strengthening his love of the state and its amazing natural bounty.
Drew is excited to compete in the Pure Michigan competition and looks forward to making some great images in Benzie County!
