Rob Sheppard

Rob SheppardRob Sheppard has had a long-time and nationally recognized commitment to helping photographers connect with digital imaging technology. He was one of the small group of people who started PCPhoto magazine nearly eight years ago to bring the digital world to photographers on their terms. He is the editor of PCPhoto as well as Outdoor Photographer magazines (second only to Popular Photography in circulation), group editorial director of all Werner Publication photo magazines (PCPhoto, Outdoor Photographer and Digital Photo Pro) and is the author/photographer of over a dozen photo books, including Adobe® Camera Raw for Digital Photographers Only, the PCPhoto Digital SLR Handbook and the Epson Complete Guide to Digital Printing..

He also writes a column in Outdoor Photographer called Digital Horizons and teaches around the country, including workshops for the Palm Beach Photographic Centre, Santa Fe Photography and Digital Workshops, Digital Landscape Workshop Series and the Great American Photography Workshop group.

As a photographer, Rob worked for many years in Minnesota (before moving to Los Angeles), including doing work for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Norwest Banks (now Wells Fargo), Pillsbury, 3M, General Mills, Lutheran Brotherhood, Ciba-Geigy, Anderson Windows, and others. His photography has been published in many magazines, ranging from National Geographic to The Farmer to, of course, Outdoor Photographer and PCPhoto.

Dewitt Jones

Dewitt Jones is one of America’s top professional photographers with a career stretching over twenty years. As a motion picture director, he had two films nominated for Academy Awards before he was thirty. Twenty years as a freelance photographer for National Geographic earned him a reputation as a world class photojournalist.Dewitt Jones

Turning to advertising, Jones rose to the forefront of corporate creative marketing photographing national advertising campaigns for Dewar’s Scotch, Canon, and United Airlines.

He has published nine books, including California!, Visions Of Wilderness, What The Road Passes By, Robert Frost, A Tribute To The Source, Canyon Country and John Muir’s High Sierra. His most recent book, The Nature Of Leadership was created in collaboration with Stephen R. Covey  (The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People).  Dewitt’s column, Basic Jones, appears monthly in Outdoor Photographer magazine. He is a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College with a BA in Drama and holds a Masters Degree in film making from UCLA.

Dewitt is recognized as a world class lecturer. His knowledge of the creative process, his relaxed and genuine style, and his ability to communicate make his presentations truly outstanding.

Jeff Kida

Jeff Kida has been a photographic contributor to Arizona Highways magazine for more than twenty years, an association that started in 1977 when he was a photo intern. His skill as a professional photographer has allowed him to contribute regularly to Arizona Highways, Time, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times. Jeff has also been a staff photographer for The Phoenix Gazette and The Arizona Republic, shooting both news and advertising assignments. Since leaving the day to day news business in 1993, Jeff has concentrated his efforts on corporate photography and long-term picture stories, with clients including Coleman Spas, Shasta Pools, America West Airlines and the Fiesta Bowl. He does workshops for Elderhostel as well.
