The Art of Nature Photography
Please join Steve for an intensive one-day nature photography seminar. Steve will share his knowledge gained from over twenty-five years experience creating stunning images of the natural world. He will cover all aspects of nature photography, from capturing grand sweeping vistas, to the tiny world of macro photography. He will also discuss how and where to photograph the beautiful flora and fauna of the natural world. Attendees from beginners to advanced shooters will learn tips, tricks, and techniques to help them take their photography to the next level. The entire seminar will be illustrated using hundreds of Steve’s images to highlight and reinforce the topics being discussed. While the seminar will have a definite focus on digital photography, most of the information presented will apply to film photography as well. Workshop

For your enjoyment and to further your photography education, we offer workshops, seminars and field trips as well as online classes.

Workshops – Workshops are a combination of lectures and lessons that are usually practiced in a hands-on fashion with the assistance or guidance of an instructor. Some may include critiques, in-the-field or on-site photography as well as hands-on computer work. Workshops may also be offered online.

Seminars – Seminars are one-time classes that may be as short as one hour or as long as an entire day. A seminar is usually structured as a formal presentation by one or more experts-a lecture. Seminars may also be offered online.

Field Trips – Field Trips are weekend outings to desirable or “photogenic” destinations in Michigan led by a photographer who is familiar with the area and has previously scouted locations. The trip leader is not an instructor and is not required to “teach” photography techniques in the field.

Online Classes – These classes are offered online, usually in a discussion group format. Participants are able to upload photos if needed.
